History
CAG was founded by the late Charles F. Scarf in 1960 with a single store in Sydney and a handful of employees. In the early days he opened several other locations throughout the Sydney region with his four sons.
Over the years the company expanded and conglomerated to combine a portfolio of stores under different brands into the group. Through acquisitions of existing groups, and by developing new concepts to meet market demands, CAG has grown to become one of Australia's largest fashion groups.
Today, CAG is owned privately by the Scarf and Mellick families. But although the Group proudly maintains all of the cultural characteristics of a family business, the company's success today is a result of discipline, innovation and professionalism from its staff.
